Higher Education is the epitome of wokeness. As a straight white male with advanced degrees, 30 years of classroom experience, numerous achievements, I’ve been passed over 16 times for an administrative position. The hires had less experience, degrees, were of minority status or women, and all lasted less than 2 years in the position. In the so called inclusion aspect of DEI, I’ve been purposely excluded due to that I’m a straight white male. They’ve even admitted they needed ‘diverse’ people in the position, despite most of the administrators are very diverse. It won’t matter if I increased enrollments 50%, ensured 85% of the graduates got jobs, I’m not diverse enough, and a “toxic male”.
