Our former CEO apologized for his “white privilege” during a Teams meeting, making a lot of us uncomfortable. Their DEI department hosts multiple Pride events, but the nuclear family is never highlighted. We used to be a family-centric, family oriented workplace. Now we’re overrun with diversity, have to take yearly courses that now include “unconscious bias” etc. We want everyone to be equal – race, gender, religion etc…but it’s difficult when this is being forced upon us.
