What you need to know

Celebrate The Salvation Army Doing the Most Good—Rather than Dividing People Over Historic Sins

Despite being a historically apolitical organization, The Salvation Army has recently been promoting controversial political and racial ideologies under the banner of its “International Social Justice Commission,” which is based in New York City. New curricula, podcasts, videos, and materials, call for an adherence to politically charged language, and shockingly suggests that Salvation Army members repent on behalf of the church for its alleged role in perpetuating racism. The curriculum, titled “Let’s Talk About Racism,” (read here) consists of 5 slides and several appendixes which go through The Salvation Army’s plans to combat racism through a supposed “anti-racist” lens.

It specifically says that Christians need to “repent on behalf of the church” for their complicity in racism, as well as telling members about “police brutality” and endorsing racial “equity” proposals.

Anti-racism, being one perspective among many (and one that rejects other approaches) consequently invalidates any other view of race. By proxy, we believe The Salvation Army has nullified any other avenue of exploring the very complex issue of race.

Sign the petition: Tell the leadership of The Salvation Army to stop letting race activism dilute the good work of fellow Salvationists and supporters.
ALL SIGNERS NAMES WILL BE CONFIDENTIAL — WE AND THE SALVATIONISTS WORKING ON THIS PETITION WILL ONLY SHOW THE NAMES ONCE WE HAVE OVER 25,000 NAMES. So you will be protected by being part of thousands. Also, you can just provide your first name and last initial if you are concerned.

You can also directly email the Salvation Army.  Tell them you will not support an organization that claims America is racist.

No matter, we need you to show TSA that employees and supporters oppose their woke policies. Only then will TSA leadership acknowledge the lack of Gospel-centeredness of woke ideology.

PETITION: Keep The Salvation Army Focused On Its Good Works And Prevent It From Going Woke

Will you stand against the insertion of politically charged racial ideologies into The Salvation Army’s good work? By signing this petition, you call for Color Us United to represent the members of The Salvation Army in calling for a revocation of The Salvation Army’s “Let’s Talk About Race” curriculum. Rather than casting aspersions on their supporters, The Salvation Army should praise their work as examples of how Americans help each other. Furthermore, this petition calls for the International Social Justice Commission of The Salvation Army to publicly recognize that the suggestion that their membership ought to repent on “behalf of the church,” while well-intentioned, is antithetical to the Christian ethic of individual salvation. We believe these actions will reverse the misconceptions of The Salvation Army leadership and allow a more honest dialogue to occur on the topic of race.

TSA has hidden this LTAR in preparation for their fundraising season – which makes it all the more important that we target them to make a statement fully denouncing CRT.
